Have you ever thought about how hard it is to pick up your stuff and move to another country, where most likely, you will always be an outcast? Especially when you're an adult. It takes guts to do that.
Most adults with families immigrate for a better life for their kids. Many of them never find themselves professionally and often have to settle for very physically demanding jobs, barely survive for years, and hope that kids will grow up and take care of them. Immigrant life isn't easy, especially for those "off the boat."
What you get in an immigrant employee is dedication and hard work, every day. When you train them in a skill like accounting they will hungrily learn every concept, and they will make you proud because they know the value of skill.
You may worry that a training in English will be hard for this target groups. Yes, for those just learning the language it will be harder and longer to finish this training. That's okay! There is a concept in education called "contextual learning" which basically says that you pick up the language as a "side effect" while learning another subject. It's powerful! We've seen people pick up English from zero by simply starting to learn a subject, any subject. And they get a skill at the end!
Just like moms, immigrants know what's important and they know how to manage their time to waste none of it because they know the value.
This cohort-based program is anticipated to start as soon as possible for this cohort. Each cohort will have 50 people to ensure that the learning process is smooth and meaningful. We are training skilled professionals so we can be proud of them as they graduate and work for companies like yours.
