Cohort: Teens

Why are we passionate about training teens on the skill of bookkeeping? Teens are our near future. They are the ones gearing up to take the lead. Certainly, they will be building their lives and careers, and having this skill under their belt will be a beacon of hope they can count on.

Yes, some of them maybe more creative than others, and having this knowledge will allow them to make a good living while staying flexible and building their passion projects. Like our CEO's sister - she's a photographer, but because photography requires continuous networking and promotions, it doesn't provide a stable income they can count on. And bookkeeping does.

Maybe some of them will drop out of college or school for a variety of personal reasons and will want to eventually find a job. Bookkeeping skill will not only provide a way for them to make a living, but it will teach them personal finance so we, as a nation, can reverse the negative savings trend and have a generation of people living within their means. Furthermore, should they decide to start a business, they will understand cash flow so much better! And as we know, cash is KING. The top 2 reasons why businesses fail are - lack of market for the product (i.e. bad business model) and cash mismanagement. This skill will be that guiding light in building a business and not making all the mistakes.

As these teens build their lives, some of them might end up in an abusive relationship. And if you know anything about those, it's not easy to get on your own: you think this is your reality and you're stuck with it. It's not - but that's what you think. And often the abuse includes financial abuse. It's just a part of the deal. And by having this skill, those teens will know they can survive on their own, which makes it easier to escape. It may make it easier to not get into a situation like this as well.

By educating teens, by empowering them with life-long skills, you are also preventing violence that was, maybe, bound to happen, and allow them to change the trajectory of their lives. And you get to be a part of that.

The Program:

This cohort-based program is anticipated to start on October 15, 2024 for this cohort. Each cohort will have 30 to 50 people to ensure that the learning process is smooth and meaningful. We are training skilled professionals so we can be proud of them as they go and work for companies like yours.
